Thom Yorke despide con honores a Scott Walker: “Fue una gran influencia para Radiohead y para mí”
El artista británico reivindicó al cantante fallecido recientemente, a los 76 años. El productor Nigel Godrich también tuvo un gesto similar.
Thom Yorke, líder de la banda británica Radiohead, despidió con honores a Scott Walker, el músico estadounidense recientemente fallecido a los 76 años.
Yorke se expresó vía Twitter: “Es muy triste escuchar que Scott Walker ha fallecido, fue una gran influencia para Radiohead y para mí. Me mostró cómo podría usar mi voz y mis palabras. Lo conocí una vez en Meltdown, un amable outsider. Será muy añorado”.

Por su parte, el productor Nigel Godrich (habitual colaborador de Radiohead) ha afirmado que Scott fue “realmente uno de los grandes”.
“Tan único y una artista real. De camino en mi primer día de trabajo en la grabación de OK Computer le adelanté pedaleando en su bici en Chiswick High Street y cuando llegué al estudio Thom tenía en sus manos una copia de Scott 4. Tomé eso como un buen presagio”, reveló.
Por su parte, 4AD, el sello discográfico de Walker, lo definió mediante comunicado como “un artista solista, productor y compositor de originalidad intransigente”.
